Workshop Overview
Explore the captivating world of enameling with Mason stains, graphite, and Thompson acrylic enamels in this engaging three-part virtual workshop. Starting with a sifted opaque base, you’ll learn to create intricate graphite drawings and experiment with Mason stains to paint and convert them into overglazes. Techniques such as using a crow quill pen and other tools for detailed designs will also be covered.
This class will guide you through firing options, building layers, and creating surfaces that enhance the integrity of your drawings and added colors. You’ll also learn essential metal preparation techniques, counter-enameling for strength, torch options, tip sizes, firing station setups, and heat containment.

About the Instructor:
Anne is an independent studio artist for over 20 years, teaching workshops and exhibiting in juried exhibitions. Work is included in the permanent collections of: Philadelphia Museum of Art, Yale University Art Gallery, Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, the Crocker Art Museum, University of Arkansas, Little Rock Department of Art and Design Permanent Art Collection, the Enamel Arts Foundation, and numerous private collections.
